FBI San Diego Citizens' Academy

The Citizens' Academy program in San Diego started in 2002. This annual six-week event is designed to strengthen ties between law enforcement and community leaders. Participants, selected through a nomination process, gain a better understanding of the mission and programs of the FBI and get a 'behind-the-scenes' look at how various crimes are solved. Through interactive scenarios, students learn about evidence collection, current crime trends, and how cases are prosecuted after the investigation is completed.

A Citizens' Academy Foundation has been established and actively participates in the planning of each new session.

Names will be accepted for consideration for the next Academy scheduled for April 10, 2007 to May 20,2007. Please address a letter to the FBI Citizens' Academy, 9797 Aero Drive, San Diego, California 92123.
