FBI and San Diego Police Department Seeking Public’s Assistance to Identify Carmel Mountain Bank Robbery Suspect

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify an unknown male responsible for robbing the US Bank (inside the Vons grocery store), located at 4627 Carmel Mountain Road, San Diego, California, at approximately 5:05 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2009.

At the time of the robbery, the robber entered the bank, approached a teller, lifted up his shirt and showed the handle of a black semiautomatic handgun and demanded money.  After receiving a sum of money the robber exited the bank and fled in an unknown direction

The robber is described as follows:

Race:                White/Hispanic
Sex:                  Male
Height:              5’7”
Weight:             170 - 180 lbs.
Build:                Medium
Clothing:           Black motorcycle helmet, green t-shirt, blue jeans. 
Additional:        The robber my have a moustache and glasses. 

No injuries were reported.
